Sing to me of words is a beautiful collection written from the heart. I can tell that Kimberly has a strong spiritual connection and she taps into this tender place when expressing herself through her writing. There are so many treasured pieces, but some of my favorites include My Choice, Free, Journey, Into, and Finding. I can relate to many of these pieces as they just ring of truth for many souls who look within and are following their heart (not external sources) to guide them on their journey in this world. This is a loving collection written by a beautiful soul.
"Sing to me of words" by Kimberly Lynn DuBoise is a short book of very uplifting poetry. I will admit, I am not an expert on poetry, but I am an expert on knowing what I like and what moves me. The poems within this book do exactly that.
My two favorites that touched me were "My Choice" and "Journey." I was at an uncertain point in my life, and these two poems brought things into perspective for me. It was like having a good friend next to me giving me sage advice.
I would like to thank the author for sharing her talents and putting herself "out there" and maybe make someone elses day just a little brighter.
These are beautiful poems. They have such feeling that I could read and empathize. I really enjoyed the love and dedication you have expressed.
I really appreciated the word choice & expressions in this book! I too write often from an introspective view so I was definitely able to relate & get caught up in Kimberly's expressive poems. I just read the complete book as I got a pedicure & I must say it was soothing to my soul, short but sweet. I could feel the depth of gratitude & love expressed..I'm sure I will read it again when I need a quick mental escape. Although a very pleasant read...I found myself left wanting more...great job Kim & thanks for sharing your soul with us!
I thoroughly enjoy reading this book! These beautiful poems are filled with hope and inspiration. This book is the perfect tool for self reflection and personal growth. The authors use of rhythmic words was absolutely brilliant. I would recommend this novel to anyone who delights in poetry.
I thoroughly enjoy this collection of poems, they seem to linger like a fragrance on my soul. I haven’t read a lot of poetry lately, but these leave me wanting more.
These poems are a very pleasant reminder that words carefully chosen—from a mind and heart gifted to recognize, understand, and articulate in a special way, things the average person overlooks—can fill holes you never knew you had.
Mrs. DuBuBoise has a gift—glad she's sharing it.
It's been a while since I sat down to read poetry, but Ms. DuBoise's collection is just gorgeous and refreshing. It brought be back to my earlier days as a student in college, going over poems with professors and classmates. If you're a fan of poetry, then you're going to want to kick up your feet, grab a cup of tea, and enjoy this book for the delightful read it is.
